When learning any foreign language, there are two main parts. One is grammar and the other is
vocabulary. Learning grammar is a whole lot harder when you don't have the vocabulary to back it up.
So, with this in mind, I created Make a Word. It's a simple board game that can be used to review or even test a student's vocabulary.
It works best for 4 players. Give them all a counter and have them place it on the start "square". When it is their turn, they spin the spinner and move the number of places indicated. They then produce a word either beginning with, ending in, or containing (you choose before they start so the rules are consistent) the letter they land on. If they produce a correct word they can record their score (the number they got on the spinner) on the score cards provided.
All you need to do is download, print, laminate, cut and assemble and give your students the chance to play.
