Harold's Jackonory is a bit of fun for upper-int to advanced classes. It requires your students to match the pictures with the cockney rhyming slang. E.g. There is a picture of "gloves" and the words "turtle doves" that rhyme, so the students should match them. When they have done that, their is a story for them to translate. It uses the phrases they have already matched to the pictures so all they have to do is write it, using standard English, on the worksheet. There is one extra phrase in the story for them to spot and translate on their own, as a little bonus.
