Perspective Writing Dice

Writing is often featured in a lot of course, especially for teens and adults and, let's face it, it isn't all that exciting to teach or learn! So, I decided to add an element of fun and create two dice.

One dice has six topics on, ranging from money to transport (things most students should be familiar with) and the other has six perspectives on I.e. people. Students roll both dice and then write a paragraph, or a page (you choose depending on their level) and then write about their topic from the perspective of their person!

So, they might pretend to be a baby, writing about money, or an alien writing about your family! It has a different twist to writing and takes a lot of the hassle out of writing, for the students (deciding what to write about can always be hard). It's also a great way of practicing using the 1st, 2nd or 3rd person, the active/passive voice, reported speech and any other grammar point you think of.
