The thought struck me the other day that, as English teachers, we often use timers. Timers tend to use numbers, but we teach (amongst other things) the alphabet. So why not have a timer that uses letters?

Alph-Time uses the 26 letters of the alphabet. The first timer gives the students 26 seconds, the second gives them 1 whole minute. Both go from A to Z and sound a buzzer when the time is up.
